How To Turn Off Mods Steam
Jan 08, 2005 The mod I'm trying to install is The Specialists v2.0 (and then upgrade it to 2.1) but I can't seem to figure out how to get it to show up on Steam.
So was looking around for a way to temp disable mods instead of removing all of them one by one when I wanted to play on the reddit server. Found a super simple way to hop in and out of Mod world and figured I'd share. Go to Steam>steamapps>workshop>content. There will be a few folders with just numbered names [mines 211820, dunno if that matches everyones] Just rename it _211820 [or whatever yours is] and then launch your game. It will now be a vanilla game and you can join servers. When you wanna go back to a modded game just remove the underscore from your folder and BAM you're back where you were.
Now if you accidentally subscribe to a mode while your folder is renamed it just creates the same folder, you can still rename the older folder back, it'll just ask you to merge the two.
