DayZ is open-world survival horror hybrid-MMO video game. The much hyped follow-up to the award winning mod of the same name. Development in 2012 when the mod's creator, Dean Hall, joined Bohemia Interactive to commence work on the standalone version of the game. The development has been focused on altering the engine to suit the game's needs, developing a working client-server architecture, and introducing new features like diseases and a better inventory system.
The game places the player in the fictional 225km2 post-Soviet state of Chernarus+, one of the areas hit by a new and presently unknown infection which has wiped out most of the world's population. The player is one of the few who have survived and now must scavenging the world for food, water, weapons, and medicine, while killing or avoiding infected, and killing, avoiding or co-opting other players in an effort to survive as long as they can in the harsh post-apocalyptic landscape.

Review title of CoDe ReD NinjaNot worth it yet, save your $. Fun at times many issues

1.2 UPDATE REVIEW**Third impressions are mixed. Cities have more lag, total audio loss at times, audio inconsistency. Some bugs fixed, more introduced. Controls changed but not in a good way. Inventory runs and looks better most of the time. Duping and meatballing still around. Duping (glitching two of something) is causing the new guns/gear to not spawn, devs confirmed this. Cars still dangerous. Loot is plentiful except the coast. Still push to talk. My GamePreview review still stands**Will update more* Extremely low fps in cities with players. When by yourself some areas are ok, but there are fps drops with random major stutter that lasts a few seconds which gets you killed by infected or players. Combat is frustrating to say the least. Players can be stun locked disabling movment. Guns and shoot outs are random at best. (First bullet lag/bullets that do nothing/shots way off target) Some jump servers to get behind you, into your base, when they get shot, or when it's night time.
